So Teddy just keeps growing. He had his two month checkup this last week, and he's plugging right along around the 85th percentile for height and weight. Pretty sure he's going to move on down that curve at some point soon (if not, we may need to double check to make sure we got the right baby), but in the meantime, I'm still harboring dreams of him playing left tackle for the Seahawks someday and flying his parents out to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl.
Teddy had his vaccinations as well, and he was a real trooper. A little bit of screaming when he got his shots (and to be fair to him, I scream much more than he does when getting shots, and at a higher pitch), but then he quickly calmed down. Tough little dude.
Jane and I continue to be lucky, insofar as we are constantly immersed in Teddy (and vice versa). While Jane's got a few work items here and there, her employer was kind enough to basically give her the semester off from teaching obligations, so she won't have to actually be on a full work schedule until May or so. And since I work from home, I'm always nearby. It can be sometimes challenging (particularly on conference calls), but so far it's worked out well, due to Jane's pretty amazing patience with Teddy. It's pretty cool that I can essentially pop in and give Teddy a kiss at any point during the day (and with those cheeks, it's frankly very hard to resist!). We realize we're pretty lucky in this regard, and are thankful for our blessings.
Jane's been starting to take Teddy out here and there. She's got a local group of area moms with kids all around the same age as Teddy, which she meets up with once a week. Earlier this week, they all went out to a 10am showing of "The King's Speech", which from Jane's description sounds like it was drowned out by "The Babies' Screaming." And then there's this "Stroller Strides" group, which is a walking and exercising class for new moms.
Anyways, that was your update from the law offices of Bob Loblaw, Attorney at Law. Now onto photos of Teddy!
Worth noting: Teddy has started to smile. A lot. Usually in response to funny faces, which is why I think I get a lot of smiles from him. He's also sticking his tongue out, in response to my doing the same. Earlier this week, when I puffed out my cheeks, he did the same! I've been trying to get him to repeat this little trick, to no avail (I just get a bemused little half smile). But yes, his smile tends to light up our world, although we haven't yet captured a full beaming smile in a photo yet (just the half smiles).
Wonderful update! Fun to see Teddy in the sling! I can't wait to see his smiles :-)
