Teddy tried to take a nap this afternoon, but sleep would not come. I told him I had hoped he would nap because we're having dinner with friends, and a nap would help him behave at the dinner table. He said, "I'll try, but it's easy for my body to feel a little silly."

Catching up with Emmy

Emmy's first food was avocados, just like Teddy. She liked the spoon considerably more than the avocados (or the sweet potatoes, peaches, peas, rice cereal, and other foods that we've attempted).

Thanks, Sharon, for the perfect onesie! It's one of our favorite songs and we love dressing Emmy in this onesie. It also reminds me of a favorite Teddy memory. During breakfast a few months ago, Teddy said, "Mommy, you're my sunshine."

This is the first "teeth" photo I took. She currently has 7 teeth (4 on top and 3 on bottom)! I suspect we'll see tooth #8 soon....

While staying at a hotel in early June, Teddy and Dave passed the time trying to balance an orange on Teddy's head. Can't you just hear Teddy's giggle? I love how playful they are!

Emmy is 6 months old!

We've recently had wonderful visits from family and hope to post some photos soon. For today, we celebrate 6 months of Emmy! Here are her stats from today's doctor's visit: 90th percentile for height, 65% for weight, and 75% for head circumference. Go, Emmy, go!
